Couach unveils five new ranges

Among the new designs is a 38-metre explorer yacht and a 26-metre flybridge yacht designed by Espen Øino.

The Lounge Collection, created by in-house Couach designer Clément Carbonne, exemplifies modern adventure in three semi-displacement explorer models: a 35-metre, a 38-metre (shown above and below) and a 42-metre. “With the bold lines, high freeboard and protected hull of a robust explorer yacht, the Lounge Collection marries comfort and luxury with the spirit of adventure,” the yard says.

Couach is collaborating with Espen Øino on three new yacht lines – the Timeless Collection of 20-40-metre fast flybridge yachts, the Super Sport Collection of 20-40-metre open yachts, and the Super Yacht Collection of custom yachts over 40 metres. The first of the designs is a 26.2-metre fast flybridge model (two renderings of which are shown below) from the Timeless Collection. The yacht will be able to carry up to 12 passengers and three crew. It is projected to reach top speeds of 30 knots and cruise at 23 knots, powered by twin V12 MANs. The yeard says it will be followed by up to five models in the same design aesthetic.

“It is a privilege and an honour to be working with such a prestigious name as Espen Øino for three of the new Couach yacht lines. When I met Espen, I felt he and his team were perfectly matching our culture, our style and our dream for Couach. The Timeless and Super Sport models will offer a rare opportunity to buy an Espen Øino-designed yacht in this size range. When it comes to the Super Yacht range, there are many exciting ways our skills and capabilities will combine to produce a truly exceptional superyacht.”

“When creating the look for the Timeless Collection, we wanted to draw upon the historically strong identity that Couach had between the 1970s and 1990s, and to bring back something that was distinctive and instantly recognisable with strong, meaningful lines. Although this new design is very elegant, it reflects the serious purpose of Couach’s non-yachting vessels,” says Espen Øino. “With a smaller yacht, you need to be more self-disciplined in your design work, and make it more purposeful; every centimetre counts. It is as exciting – if not more exciting – than designing a very large superyacht because you can personally relate better to the vessel. You can imagine yourself enjoying being on board, including driving the yacht.”

The fifth and final line, the Mediterranean Collection, comprises 13, 15 and 17-metre tenders and chase-boats.
