Heesen's 55-metre, launching later this year, has been sold, with the buyer introduced by the New Yachts Company
The 55-metre Heesen Project Alida, built in steel and aluminium, and boasting a fast displacement hull design by Van Oossanen and exterior styling by Omega, has been sold. The owner – an experienced yachtsman – was introduced to the shipyard by Barin Cardenas of the New Yachts Company in Fort Lauderdale, who worked closely with Thom Conboy of Heesen Yachts USA. She will launch in the summer.
Project Alida’s hull and deck joined in late 2015
Project Alida’s interior is by Radyca, a Miami-based design firm. Key materials of the light and contemporary styling will be open-grain white oak and different tones of wenge, taupe and grey leathers, wool carpets and light textured suedes. The yacht sleeps 12 guests in a main-deck master, and a full-beam VIP and four guest suites on the lower deck. A key guest space will be the sky lounge, with 180˚ floor-to-ceiling windows. Glass elements in the bulwarks enhance the indoor-outdoor connection on the main deck. Twin MTU 8V 4000 M63 engines give Project Alida a top speed of 16 knots, and a range of 4,500 nautical miles at a 13 knots cruising speed.
