AGIA MARINA (PARADISE) beach in SPETSES

Situated at 2 kilometres southeast of Dapia, the beach of Agia Marina is the island's most popular beach. It is overlooked by a small pink and white chapel of the same name which is surrounded by palm trees, pines and cypresses.
It is also called "Paradise" or "Paradisos" in Greek.

The beach is NOT one of the best in Spetses and has a few metres of pebbles near the shore; However it is popular because it is the closest beach to Spetses Port (and Town), and can be raached even by walking (about 15 min).

Although it is quite small, it offers a wide range of water sports, umbrellas, sun beds, a popular beach Bar - Restaurant (with nice food) and some nice taverns where one can enjoy some good food.

Agia Marina can be reached by taxi boat, by foot or with the local bus.

For yachters moored in Spetses port, it may be reached by tender. Its high popularity and its proximity to the town cause it to be quite crowded, especially during high season.

The earliest traces of human settling have been excavated in Agia Marina, such as clay vessels, figurines and ruins of a fortified wall, all dating back to the Early Bronze Age.
