It is not a beach but a marvelous masterpiece of nature! The waters are turqoise and the whole landscape is perfect! It is one of the best spots in the Ionian Sea!
The caves are a number of geological formations in the cliffs below Cape Skinari and take their name from the blue colour of the water, caused by the effect of the sunlight on the water. The caves can only be reached by sea and there are endless amounts of boat operators (from almost any point on the island) that are willing to transfer you by coach to a boat that takes you to the caves.

It is easily accessible by a private boat - if the weather is quite calm - since they are located in the southeastern coast of the island which has less swell than the west coast. However it is not an anchorage.
