Polis beach in Ithaca

Polis Beach Ithaca: The bay of Polis can be reached from the village of Stavros, by a 2 kilometres road, going down south-west of the settlement.

The beach of the bay is a beautiful pebble beach, with clear, turquoise waters shimmering under the Mediterranean sun.

On the north side of the bay is a cave, the Loizos Cave, where excavations have proved that it used to be a worship temple for various gods during ancient times.

Polis Bay is ideal to combine the pleasure of a wonderful swim with the interesting visit of this archaeological site.
