Xerxes port is very beautiful sandy beach with nice water in the northwest coast of the Mandraki area where two more magnificent bays are found: Elia and Angistros (see separate listings). It is located in an intriguing bay where a wall of sand on the back shelters it. The landscape more wild and more impressive than the southern part of Skiathos.

To reach these three bays by road, you have to move in deeply through a lovely forest of pine-trees on sandly ground. The road stops and you can approach either by feet or on a motor-bike. This makes them even more exotic and beautiful! The beauty of the area, the trip in the marvelous forest, the crystal-clear sea and the peace and quiet will offer you a great experience.

The myth goes that in the ancient years the Persians under Xerxes rule landed in Xerxes port to conquer the island.
