TREKKING PATHS in KEA (TZIA) Featured

Kea has a mountainous Cycladian landscape with 36km of interesting and  well-signed trekking paths varying in difficulty, length and scenery. Some of them are ancient, stonepaved and pass through hillsides, valleys, forests, picturesque villages, monasteries, chapels, important archaeological sites or end to beautiful beaches. We recommend you to use the relative map or even better have a guide, in order to discover them. The most popular paths of Kea, are:

1) Agios Symeon village - Aghios Philipos (Filippos), apx 2hrs: Passes through the countryside, stonepaths, chapels. Ends to Ag Fiipos remote beach.

2) Ioulis - Lion statue (apx 30min) - Otzias: A marvelous historic stonepath leading from Ioulida to the ancient statute of Kea's Lion (apx 1km). You may continue further to Otzias.

3) Ioulis - Agios Konstantinos - Milopotamos - Flea - Korissia (apx 3 hrs) or Ag. Konstantinos - Flea - Ag. Marina - Pisses.

4) Ioulis - Karthaia Historic Path: Access to the ancient Karthea & Poles beach is available only through an ancient path (apx 17 km in total). One may go by car till the end of the road to Karthea and then take the paved path (400m) to enjoy one of the most important historic sites in the Aegean, listen to Vathypotamos flow and visit the Panagia ton Poles chapel.
