KAPSALI beach in KYTHIRA

Kapsali Beach Kythira: Near the picturesque village of Kapsali, which is visible from Hora's castle (3 kilometres east from Hora), are two twins pebble-sand bays: the smallest one is full of small rocks, while the second one has a line of restaurants and cafes and offers safe sheltered swimming in aquamarine waters.

Those beaches are the only ones that can get quite crowded during summer.

The rocky island of Avgo (egg) can be seen offshore, forming a strange shape, reminding of Uranus genitals, thrown by Cronus in the sea from which Aphrodite roused. The Kythirians claim that here is the place of birth of the goddess of love and desire
