MONASTIRI beach in POROS

The beach of Monastiri (Monastery) is found in a beautiful and pure landscape with hills in the background and pine trees. It has sand and peebles on the shore, stones in the sea bottom and clear waters. It also offers umbrellas, sunbeds and a beach taverna.

Its name derrives from the Monastery of Zoodohos Pigi, which is situated up on the hills.

The beach is located at the southeastern coast of Poros and can be reached by bus or taxi from Poros port/town. The road to Monastiri passes though virgin pine forests and offers beautiful views.

ANCHORING INFO: Monastiri is situated at about 1 n.m. east from the port of Poros. It is very deep and provides poor holding. It is recommended only for a short stay. Be very careful because the anchor may drag. A jetty is provided for disembarcation.
