One of the most beautiful beaches of the Mediterranean! Porto Katsiki beach is located 40 kilometres south-west of the capital of Lefkada.

Its sand is almost white and its waters have a amazing light blue crystal and transparent color.The whole setting is like a piece of Paradise on Earth! It is surrounded by impressive hills and is reachable by 80 steps descending along the cliff. A car parking and snack bars can be found on top of the stairs. The view from there is breathtaking. Visiting Porto Katsiki with a motor vehicle is also a nice experience since you will pass through nice landscapes and a vast pine forest wich is close to it.

Porto Katsiki can also be reached by taxi-boat from the villages of Vassiliki and Nidri. Having become very popular over the years, this beach attracts thousands of visitors during summer time.

Unfortunately Porto Katsiki is not a good anchorage, since it is open to the Adriatic Sea and has swell even whith a calm weather. In any case though it is definately a MUST if you visit the Ionian Islands.
